What we collect
- •Host account data: your name, email address, and phone number. This lets you create events and receive notifications.
- •Guest RSVP data: the name, phone number, email (if provided), attendance response, guest count, and any message the guest leaves for the host. Guests do not need an account to RSVP.
- •Event content: the details you enter when creating an event — title, date, venue, description, dress code, and any images you upload.
Payments
- •For paid tickets and aso-ebi orders, checkout is handled by our payment gateway provider. RSVPit does not store your full card numbers.
- •We keep a record of the transaction reference, amount, and status so we can confirm your ticket or order and issue a QR pass.
Sharing and links
- •When you share an event or RSVP link on WhatsApp or other channels, that platform receives the link and any preview text it generates — that is controlled by the platform you share to, not RSVPit.
- •Invitation links and codes are unique to each guest. Do not share a personal invitation link publicly if you want to keep it private.
Cookies and sessions
- •We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data.
How long we keep your data
- •We keep your event and guest data for as long as your event is active and afterwards so you can review attendance and send thank-you messages.
- •If you want your event, guest list, or account deleted, you can request it at any time (see below).
Your rights (Nigeria NDPR-aware)
- •You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Hosts can delete their events and guest lists from the dashboard.
- •Guests can ask a host to remove their RSVP, or contact us directly. To request deletion of your data, email support@rsvpit.me.
